About the event

Please note the date change to March 31st!

Deep Brain Stimulation, often known as DBS, is a reversible, albeit invasive neurosurgical procedure where electrondes are implanted deep in the brain and electrical stimulation is delivered to treat slowness, stiffness, tremor, and dyskinesia.    BrainSense is a new Medtronic technology system that uses the implanted electrodes to both stimulate and "listen" to your brain signals.  These signals can be interpreted and allow your doctor to make more informed medication and stimulation adjustments to improve treatment outcomes.  Dr Zhigao Huang, MD, PhD,  neurologist / movement disorder specialist from Baptist Medical Center Jacksonville will be the speaker for this event.
