About the event

Join us for an informative session with Dr Phillip Tipton, MDS from the Mayo Clinic, where we will delve into the world of Carbidopa-Levodopa - a key medication in managing PD symptoms. This session will explore dosing tips (Can it be crushed? Should I take it with food or on an empty stomach? Does  carbinated water help it kick in faster?), expected outcomes (motor vs. non-motor symptoms), side effects and common myths leading to levodopa phobia (Is it toxic?  Can I take too much? Should I save a higher dose for later?) and the use of alternative medications/supplements.  Dr Tipton, M.D. neurologist and Movement Disoder Specialist at Mayo Clinic with a special interest in Parkinson's disease.  He is an active clinician, clinical researcher, advocate and dynamic educator.  He received his medical degree from East Tennessee State Univeristy James H.
