About the event

If you are considering deep brain stimulation (DBS) the first step is to learn about the procedure.  Chris Larson from Medtronic will be joining our group to discuss what DBS is, who makes a good candidate and what to expect.   Chris is a senior sales rep for Medtronic and he has been involved with DBS both in and out of the OR since the early days.  The technology has evoloved by leaps and bounds over the years and he will discuss the new brain sense technology and how your doctors can customize the brain's stimulation to your unique symptoms.   To enhance your learning before joining us, consider listening to a podcast on DBS published by the Parkinson's Foundation:  Episode 72: What is Deep Brain Stimulation?
